U.S. consultant to give lecture on renewable energy

The Embassy of the United States of America to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean in partnership with the Dominica Electricity Services (DOMLEC) will today hold a public lecture on Renewable Energy.

The lecture, which takes place at the Public Service Hall in Roseau from 3:00 p.m will be delivered by leading U.S. consultant on Renewable Energy J.F. Scarborough.

Scarborough has spent the majority of his career focused on international business, specializing in economic development, new venture creation and deal structuring in the renewable energy sector.

According to a press release, throughout his career, Mr. Scarborough has managed dozens of successful transactions and client engagements.

Over the past several years, Mr. Scarborough has worked very closely with key stakeholders – states, foreign governments, NGOs, multilateral institutions and private companies – to promote renewable energy as a means for economic development and creation of green jobs.

A recognized leader in the solar sector, Mr. Scarborough has spoken publicly at many industry events and actively participates in policy discussions around the U.S. as well as internationally.
