Mary Kenkel Partner
Mary brings more than twenty years of energy experience to the MAPA team, following her most recent work heading up the Government Relations office for Cinergy (now Duke Energy). Prior to that, Mary headed up the media relations practice for the electric industry’s trade association and currently seres as strategy advisor to the CEO of a Fortune 100 eletric utility company. Mary has interfaced with national media, both print and broadcast, developed significant public relations campaigns and brought her communications experience to her lobbying job where she was able to engage policy makers and successfully achieve solutions for her clients in the tax, energy, merger and acquisition arenas. Her expertice includes tax, environmental, appropriations and energy issues. She has significant environmental NGO experience as well as coalition building and state outreach experience. Mary is a graduate of Trinity University in Washington, DC.
